Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cutting or welding a used tank can be deadly. Make sure all gass and fumes are removed. If you are not sure don't do it and let a professional do it for you.

Why not cut one end off each tank and then weld them together into one. You would then have a single tank. Clean the tanks and make sure there are no gas fumes. I would fill the tanks with water and stand them on end when cutting the end off with a saw.any years ago a couple of young men were cutting up jet gas drums that we used for our helicopter. They did not clean out one and when the hit it with a torrch both died very quickly.

Once apart and cleaned very well of any gas it should not be too hard to weld then. I would crimp a flange on one tank so the other slides over the flange then weld a small spot every so often all the way around. Then fill weld it for an inch or so then skipping 6" or so and weld another inch. Until you get it all. Then pressure/ leak test.
