That was my plan, loosen the rear mounts, lift the engine enough to replace front mount. My front mount was cocked to the rear and my crank pulley was really close to the front support.

I loosened the front support bolts and took a rubber mallet to it, knocking it rearward since it has oblong bolt holes for adjustment. It moved about 3/8 to 1/2 an inch. It fixed both problems for me. It moved the support rearward enough to get good clearance between the pulley and the support, while also straightening the front mount. So, I just tightened everything back down and will replace the mounts when I pull the engine later.

To answer your question, I did not get around to attempting to loosen the nuts underneath the front mount. I suspect you can get to them with a socket and extension? Of course, I have my radiator removed at present, so it would be a whole lot easier for me. :)
