The bed is a 7 1/2 footer I think. That flatter carrier was mostly found in 1957-58, but I have seen later trucks with it.

The attached image is of a 1957 W100 with the same carrier and a 7 1/2 foot bed.

The 9' bed carrier is totally different and uses a rear fender without the wheel cutout. That is how much space there is between the cab and fender on a 9' bed.
