That is the standard indent on closed cabs

The unique part of that cab is the cowl angle and the tie rod brackets, plus other more minor details. All of the 39-47 cabs, 2wd and 4wd, had that indent in them regardless of engine size. The larger 2wd trucks with the 30 inch block got an even larger indent.

This cab was used with the 23 inch engine.
