First of all, thanks for sharing your build card with us. That may be the latest of that style build record I have seen yet. I will have to check later. You don't see many '55s when the Archives only advertises up to 1950.

I don't have any hard copy codes for '55 but I'll do my best to explain some things for you.

Columns 21, 22 BODY are punched and marked 46. This category describes the overall look/purpose of the truck as it left the factory such as Flat Face Cowl, Cab and Chassis, Stake Bed, etc. In your case the truck was equipped with an express bed.

Columns 37, 38 BODY TYPE are punched and marked 61. This category describes the cab as Standard, Deluxe, or Custom. It notes if the cab has quarter windows (2wd). It also calls out for standard or tinted glass. In your case all I can tell you is you have a Deluxe Cab. The quarter windows do not apply and I can't tell you if it came with standard or tinted glass.

Column 23 COLOR is punched and marked 4. I do not have any color codes for 1955. In 1954 the code 4 would have been for Sonora Blue Light. In 1955 the colors changed substantially, see my paint charts at www.t137.com . If I was to take a wild guess I would go with Rackham Blue, thinking that they may have held the "4" category to the light blue shade.

Column 60 PAINT is punched and marked 7. This category describes any paint process that is different from standard such as two tone paint. In your case I would feel extremely confident that the fenders were painted the body color instead of being black.

SPECIAL CODES
Column 63 is punched 0 = Third Row 630
Column 64 is punched 9 = Third Row 649
Column 66 is punched 7 = Third row 667

These Third Row columns are all marked 1 indicating the truck came with the following options.

630 TIRE CONVersion
649 BOOSTER BRK.
667 O.FLOW TANK

Let me know how this matches up to your truck so I can take notes for future reference.
