I am not going to the wrong shops. I dont initiate powder coating on any of my stuff. Its what I buy that I see 100% failure in one way or the other. Buckstop front and rear bumpers on the Ram, almost 3000 bucks, both have to come off this summer get blasted and painted properly. Cross Bed tool boxes, powder coat coming off in sheets, everything I have bought that is exposed to the elements always fail. As Clint says, everyone must use the same Lawn Chair Coater. Powder coating for Interior items appears to work well.

All it takes is (1) compromise to the powder coat, and water starts to leak in, then rust and the powder lifts. By the time you see the rust its to late. I can not believe people have frames powder coated. I guess for a show n shine trailer queen kept in a closed garage, its fine.

For me, nothing like PPG Epoxy primer followed by a proper top coat depending on the item and usage. It can be repaired if ned be, not so with Powder Coat.

There is a Powder Coater in this area. I visited him to find his thoughts on blasting the Buckstop front and rear bumpers. His reply, I will do it but with no guarantee whatsoever. He said, and this is a qoute from a guy in the business, "IT WONT LAST"
