I think it was the LU2 that had one aluminum end cap on the worm, other steel. Winching a heavy load against teh aluminum end will cause big trouble.

The FFPWs are set up so handle direction equals truck direction when pulling it self out of a stuck.


Though I suppose ypu shold set it up so the cable come off the rear-est part of the spool to minimise leverage agains the frame? Load below/front, us the bottom wind. A-frame, use the over the top? And for most bumpers, stock ones, over the top will find some where to saw on the truck and negate the rudimentary guides/ horns that came from the factory.

Minimum pully diameter is 12x cable size, those little pipe fair leads are not as good as the rounded O.E. bumper wound off the bottom.
