and then somebody had the brilliant idea that african grass would grow well where the forest used to be so people could raise cattle and sell em to big mac so they marched inland and denuded the rest of the country, letting most of the wood rot, and planted estrella africanizado
kinda of coming back and folks are reforesting to some degree
