As far as I know the 4.30 Ratio was also used in the 40-42 1 ton VD & WD trucks, although they only were only 2 pinion geared. The later 46-47 1 ton WD's had the 4 pinion geared third members. All Pilothouse 1 ton Dodges used the same third member as the 46-47 WD's. These third members are 8&3/4" Diam. ring gear assemblies not the 9&5/8 ring gear assemblies. They are weaker than the larger units. The 8&3/4" full floating units were used in Dodge trucks up to 1959. They are out there, you need to keep looking.
