av gas says its low lead but by auto standards there is a lot of lead. that and the high octane slow down the burn. you get the most coomplete burn of fuel you could ever want but it burns slower. low octane burns hotter and faster but more incompletely that is why it causes pinging. varying hot spots on the piston tops from unburned low octane fuel pre igniting in the cylinder.
