If you don't need the shift pattern inlay, Tractor Supply stores sell a new, plain, smooth, bakelite shift knob for farm tractors whose history goes back to Dearborn.
It happens to have the same size and threads of the WC Dodges. If they are the same as the flat fender civilian models, the price is a fraction of what the captive market charges--or E-pay for that matter.
