The problem with your 93 was that it still had the factory Getrag that had never been rebuilt.The Getrags were set up too tight at the factory.They would overheat and burn up the pocket bearing on the main shaft.Then Dodge would replace the tranny with another that was set up too tight.Some time around after Dodge started using the nv4500 the re-builders figured out how to set up the Getrags.They aren't like a np435. a few thousandths too tight or too loose and they are toast.
I'm not saying that they are a great tranny,but they will give good service if set up and used correctly.
