had many a close call
the most memorable was the 20 ft. female croc that bobbed up six inches from my leg hanging off my surfboard
her head was about as big as I am but wider, all i could see was her little forearms hanging there as the rest of her body dissappeared in the depths below
I had to paddle out to sea and around back to the beach as she was between me and the beach, as i paddled away she just winked at me with her big yellow eye the size of my hand
I got to the beach and Macho Estrada was sitting on the rocks and I said Macho a 20 ft. crocodile just floated up next to my dumb a. and he said "yea right Ed, what you been smoking and I gave him my middle finger and said if you don't believe me then paddle out
next day i was having my coffee and picked up the local newspaper and low and behold there she was on the front page(caption read 6 meter waves knocked out 6 meter croc.)
turned out later that day she got caught in the shorebreak(big waves that day) and one dumped her on the beach knocking her out, the locals chanined and tied her up and the MINAE came down loaded her with a back hoe on a truck and hauled her off and dumped her back in the Tarcoles river
as i was finishing the article i see macho driving up in his range rover so i rolled up the newspaper and shoved it thru his window and told him to smoke it
