No oil drilling is required because the double cup comes drilled just like the original. The double inner cup is used in a few other applications not just our bearing setup. It always comes drilled for oil holes. The original cones had about a 0.180" extension on the nose of them. This is the surfaces that came together when torqued and provided the bearing preload that why there called NA series. By making a bearing spacer the same as the shim spacers no additional oil holes are required.
