Thanks everyone for your kind wishes to see me and the Fury home safe today... well it is actually after midnight and yes, we did arrive safely - on the back of a wrecker!
137 miles from home the alternator fried and the wiring melted - white smoke and a burning smell were my indication something was wrong! It took my insurance company over 4 hours to get someone to pick us up and get us home for only $515.37.... The Indiana police (in Dodge Chargers!) are extremely nice - I got to drive in the front seat of the Charger to get a pit stop at a local petrol station....
So here we go again - new alternator and wiring harness for the Fury coming up! Thanks for a great Rally - good to see you all and meet new folk.
