I have heard of the chains breaking many times. the sound horrible. they are full time Tcases back in the 70s. all aftermarket Tcases are gear drive for a reason. stronger. Ford truck sales accelled in the late 70s running gear drive while dodge and gm went south partially because most could not stand the full time 4 wheel drive they both came out with in 75. gear drives in 4 wheel drive. are always locked. who needs a diff in the tcase?
