Several years back I was going from Ohio back to Illinois to visit with my parents who live in the western suburbs and I missed the interchange for I80. Ended up driving the Tristate into downtown Chicago. Boy what a ride. Had to really dig deep into the brain cells since the last time I had been into the downtown area was at least 30 years earlier. Once I found Roosevelt Rd (Rt 38), it was a straight shot out to the 'burbs and more friendly territory.
