its a cole hersee latching solenoid. has 4 terminals. 2 small control terminals and 2 large terminals that sep / join circuit. the reason i dont want to change the isolator wiring on the positive side is that there is the isolator and the rotating selector knob, all wired through the "hot side". i want to leave the selector switch in the 'auto' mode, keep the engine box closed and remotely cut or turn on all power. i would be interrupting the - wire between the battery bank (the negatives of the 2 batteries are wired together) and the connection to the - side of the starter. make more sense?
