I have a different take on the stability. it has the lowest center of gravity of any 4x4 truck you can buy today. the early war 1/2 ton had a higher center of gravity. they realised this and that is why the 3/4 tons adn PWs have a center hump. to make it more stable. they corner very well at what is high speed for a PW. they have no body roll. When i was younger and drove too fast I took many corners in mine too fast and they always stayed flat in the corners. no leaning. totaly stable. with 12 leafs in back and 9 in front there is little worry of rolling.
