Yes, that's what I would do. Depending on what you intend for the truck, if the distribution tube looks OK, I would toss it back together and start her up. If she runs good, then flush the system - there's stuff you can get to put in the water to break down deposits, follow directions and clean it all out - others have explained how. If she won't run or there's obvious problems, at least you know what's next. As Bill says, have fun.
