For sale is a 1942 Dodge Ambulance.
This is an early style "Flatback" ambulance which does not have the tapered rear quarter panels like later models had. These flatback ambulances are extremely rare. This ambulance has a running original Chrysler 6 cylinder flat head, which runs, but needs a tune-up and fresh fuel.
Brakes in the truck have been fully rebuilt and work well. Transmission and transfer case all work. The power takeoff is in the truck, but there is no driveshaft to the front winch.
There are indications of rust in the lower sections of the doors, and at the rear of the floorboards. Very minimal however, and easy to fix. Body is very straight for it's age. I do have extra spare parts which can be purchased separately. Additional restoration will be needed on this truck but it's mostly all there, and in good condition.
