with most of the posters' comments.Having owned a WM300, a W300, and a '60 Landrover, IMHO, the LR is one rough, tough little truck. It has a fully boxed frame, full floaters, and the 4 banger engine is almost indestructible.Admittedly, asking prices for the so-called "restored" LRs are ridiculous (I don't think many sell for that amount, though), but that seems to be the trend with the flat fenders, also.The nice, original LR I bought a few years ago cost far less than WM300s in similar (or worse)condition. True, you can't buy a timing chain for a LR at Checkers, but there are several companies in the States that specialize in parts for the LRs.Common parts like plugs, wheel bearings, seals, etc. are readily available from good parts stores. Parts aren't anymore expensive than parts from VPW. If you're really interested in LRs, check out some of the many web sites devoted to them!
