I would guess that some foreign object is fouling one or more of the passages for the acetyline. Think of what an orifice does when installed in piping; it restricts the flow of gas or fluid. If a little piece of debris got trapped in one of the passages during rebuild, it could act in the same way.

Are you able to try a different mixing body with your set-up? Doing that might help determine where the problem is. I have a feeling that the rebuild job on
the mixing body might be the problem, given that it worked fine for awhile, then failed-even before you rebuilt the regulator.

However, it may be that there is something wrong with the ACE bottle or its valve, too, although I think that is a remote possibility.
