I don't need too much of a highway hauler, but now and then it would be nice. The M35 gets 6-8 mpg, doesn't really want to go much over 50 mph, eats front tires like crazy, and will run on any combustible liquid I dump in the tank, which is a big plus. Still running a lot of "antique" furnace oil. The '67 Chevy is down to 8-10 mpg now (was 12-13 when the engine was tighter), doesn't want to go much over 60 mph, but is (relatively) quiet and easy to drive. If I was still going to the DRMO a lot, I'd have use for it, but since GL took over there hasn't been anything good. So, the bottom line is no I don't really need a highway hauler. It'll be interesting to see what mpg it gets. Might well be better than the 1/2 ton Chevy at this point. I'm not going to risk it in the river -- too much downside if it doesn't make it. Anyway, I've got an ugly 2WD Ford with a box on a dump bed, a strong rear axle, and a short wheelbase I could could use for that sort of thing if I wanted.

This dodge is supposed to have a Dana 70 rear. Do they have a no-spin version? Any way to tell from the outside?
