if the price is within your budget BUY IT NOW
so it has a bit of rust it is not new
has a bed and tail gait
does it run ? have any oil pressure ? both
pluses brakes (they all need wheel cyl kits)
get it home, do what maintenance might be in
order and enjoy it before you proceed to take
it apart to "restore it" they are fun when
original & a bit funky
you can take it to local car shows and let the little kids climb all over it and have no
worries about scratches or ice cream prints
on the paint or insides.
ps: if the price is right then pay the man what he is asking and get it!
when we bought our 48 from Norm Kaufman (orginal owner) in 2000 I asked him what he
wanted - he told me - I gave him a check right there - he later told me that quite a few people had looked at the old girl and always offered him less and he told them to
take a "flying whatever" he knew what it was
worth that was for sure.
