my command car 12v siren has no relay, only a momentary pull switch from cole hersee and a 10 amp glass fuse. looking at the terminals on the horn and the switch, it appears the correct wiring to be 10 / 12 gauge. i cannot imagine that if you use it like i do only at parades or around town, that you can get it hot enough to cause problems. i ran mine for about 3 minutes once right after i reassembled it. it was not hot. maybe the moving air keeps it cool, but i would not over think it. run a fuse and try it. your ears will melt before the wiring.
