I say California as this is a legal matter and Im not sure out of state signatures are valid.
Recently a CAL FIRE fire fighter was killed on his motorcycle while going to work at CAL FIRE Hornitos Fire Station, in the Madera/Mariposa Unit. A female was drunk, on marijuana and talking on her cell phone. She turned left in front of him and Andy struck her car. Not only did she not get out to check on Andy, but she didn't even call 911.
She was sentenced to 1 year in jail, and recently was released under house arrest. She only served a month or so of jail time.
A petition was started to have her sentenced re assigned and serve at least the 1 year, if not more.
No one deserves to die this way, but when a fellow fire fighter is killed after devoting his live to serve and protect and save others from dieing this terrible way, the responsible needs to pay.
