I used a very solid attachment point for mine, but added a small, fairly weak clip that I can use to easily remove the flaps if needed. I take them off when in bad conditions and if I forget, the little clip simply breaks off. I have a handful of replacements in the glovebox. A worthwhile addition for my truck.
