Back in the good old days in Idaho, sand was the medium used for preventing the morons from losing control. Of course there were more natives who knew how to drive on ice, and less newcomers who didn't. Now the balance has tipped and salt solutions are the norm. Consequently more rusted out bodies and frames, especially on the older, more desirable vehicles.
