Yes, it is a 'new' woody', I talked to the guy who commissioned it. He claims he paid ~ $20k plus the PW for the whole job and then went out of the country on a contract to the Muddle East. Came back two years later and the shop wanted an additional $15K to complete. So the penniless owner walked away from it.(It occurs to me right now that coming home penniless from a contract job doesn't sound right. 'out of country' may be a euphemism for ummm.... a couple years ummm out of public view?)

Current owner has aftermarket parts connections, might have purchased the crate motor separately, and sold it separately.

Anyhow, ask Steve Simpson how much a woody costed. Wood work alone was $20K 20 years ago.

The Wellman woody is available, way north of $100k
