Had a good weekend correcting some of the things that the previous owner had "restored" on my 61. Pulled the cowl lights and replaced the reflectors, gaskets and bulbs. Now I need to track the electric issue as all looked good inside the cowl and all fuses are OK, but they are not lighting up. Considering the spaghetti wiring mess behind the dashboard this could be a major job next weekend. The lights shorted out during the winter parade I was in in Dec when the heater went out. Fixed the heater as I posted a few months ago.

Also redid the floor matting with a roll of exterior grade rubber walk off mat that should trap the snow and mud and provide good insulation. Put the Super Sonic acoustical matting underneath (as recommended by Jerry in Idaho) but it wouldn't adhere as well as I expected. Hopefully some motor and summer heat will bind them together.

Whoever the last owner had do the matting must have been halfway into a case of beer when he cut the mats. The guy couldn't cut a straight line, but the curves were OK. Anyhow, looking good now. Even the wife likes it.
