you can do either swap with relative ease if you can obtain the right parts for the job.

The 440 will require a hydraulic BB bell housing (w/45 degree mounts), and you can use the "floating" type front mount that is shaped like a big horseshoe. These parts will come from a 361-383-413-440 light or heavy duty Dodge built from 1967 ~ mid 1970s (medium duty).

Not sure about the 230 bell housing working with a 318, but the a hydraulic bell housing is easy enough to come by (cheaper than the BB bell mentioned above).

What is it 100-200-300?
