What engine, what inlet manifold, picture???
If it's got a 237 from a job-rated truck stuck in there it's likely got the high rise inlet manifold on it and that lifts the carb up higher. What carb has it got? Yes, I've seen a WC with external filter, but don't recall what was under the hood.
