We consistently get 20 mpg with Dad's Crewcab, short bed 4WD F150. This is highway driving at 70 mph.
I pains me to admit how smooth and powerful a gas v-6 can be. It runs way better than his 2010 5.4 liter F150. The twin turbo V-6 runs about 1700 RPM on the highway, and rarely winds above 2200rpm. It doesn't downshift and wind up like the 2010 V-8. Boost magically produces torque, and it glides along in high gear just like my Cummins (only quieter).
