If it is anything like the PTO in my '56 Wagon, it is six bolts/nuts. I also have to slide the brake peddle bracket. But not hard and I can lift the PTO in one hand. (well, maybe two....)
At least for the NP420 transmission I have to removed all three floor pans, the PTO linkage and drive shaft, and the same stuff on the transmission. And that transmission is a bit heavy for me.
