The '51I is running conventional 90 weight gear oil. Shifting isn't difficult, but it certainly needs to be accurate. The shift process feels pretty tight, like the tolerances are close. It does not have a worn-out or sloppy feel to it. The '42 is much looser, but not sloppy or vibrating. Just easier to manage.
