oh shoot, I just guessed on the span. A 38" span with 2x2x1/8, while better, is still pretty flimsy for me. You will probably be alright if you load up wityh hay bales, because the load is spread out very evenly. If you load stumps and other things that give high point-loads, I would go with C3x3.5 and a heavy wood decking.
