My understanding is that all the WC-62/63 T/Cs were mounted metal to metal. The one on my 63 was. I plan to install 1/4" sheet rubber between the frame and the brackets, in hopes of quieting the T/C a bit.

As for the worn front drive shafts, I've seen the same thing. My guess is that it's because the angles are either not equal between the T/C and front differential, or are too steep, which causes vibration and wear. I want to put a double universal CV joint on the T/C end of my front drive shaft, maybe that will reduce some of the vibration there.

The torsion bars on my 63 were all canted over, but feel very tight, so I assume they are still good. I had to use a wrench to return them to vertical.
