You would have to be part of "The Greatest Generation" of WW2 to understand what Clint is talking about. There was a different mindset and willingness to be skillful in manufacturing. From the great depression through WW2 strength and a set of values were forged. The US has been living and thriving on the coat tails of that generation ever since, but as we loose those individuals they are not being replaced. The values and education are lost with them. Pride, skill, loyalty, unity are all being replaced with the acceptance of substandard labor, manufacturing practices, education, and the lack of honesty for the sake of profits in the new global economy. Just my 2 cents worth.
