They really blew it in their design on these trucks. How did they miss the fact that 65 or 70 years later we would be replacing things like defroster hoses and glove box liners? The least they could have done is allow a little more space for hands, parts, and tools under the dash. My old glove box came out through the opening, without having to remove the heater. And the new one goes in the same way, with a little careful flexing and coaxing. But the defroster hose to the passenger side keeps getting shove off the duct as I push the liner in. I guess the heater will be coming back out, again.
