if you treat with Fertan you could leave it our in the rain for 6 months and it wont rust. non toxic and biodegradeable. no smell, wont stain your close. been using it since 89. you actually mix it WITH water. water is your friend with Fertan. I mix it about 50/50 and then spray on. sometimes a couple times for good measure.
