Most modern pistons have 'off set wrist pin holes'. It prevents the piston from rattling in the bores. The are off set to the side. (racers put them in backwards, less friction that way, but more noise)

The 218/230 Dodge blocks have siamesed cylinders, pairs of cylinders use a common wall. Those engines have 'off set rods', the big end is fore/aft from the little end. It's said to be one of the weak points, the rods tend to bend under load, eating rod bearings.
