Larger is usually better, but I doubt it with this tool. I don't know for sure, because It haven't tried the big one. But, the little one is so easy to use and gets in tight spots. I never felt the need for a bigger one. Maybe, for knocking slag off on big welding jobs, but for cleaning in nooks and crannies, I suspect the smaller one is better.
