Something kept banging and clanking with each turn of the rotisserie. It finally worked around to where it was visible inside the header. A 20mm empty. Cool memento, and probably proof that the cab was GI. First coat is Navy gray, topped with Target Yellow. I believe it still had some remote control apparatus when Ed got it.

Otherwise, the rotisserie is a nice piece of gear to have. It'll be really nice for sand blasting and painting too.

Final count, 101 holes that need welding. 22 down after today, only 79 to go. Large holes get flush patches fitted and butt welded, screw and bolt holes get filled by spiraling in from the out side until the hole is filled. Largest patch was a 6x6 diamond in the center of the roof. Probable spot light or antenna mount, plus bolt holes and fatigue cracks. 9 holes actually. Much oil canning, but some hammer and dolly work got it flattened out.

Tig welding is a huge improvement over gas or mig. Less warpage than gas welding, less excess filler to grind off than MIG. And filling the holes from the inside seems to help with the warpage, preventing oil canning at the smaller holes.

So far as rust goes, the only place was the bottom back of the cab. Patched in four pieces, it'll be invisible with a skim coat of bondo.
