Corn Head Grease

I know this has been discussed a bit on the forum, but I have a question. I went to John Deere to get parts for other equipment and asked about the corn head grease. I was surprised that the grease comes in a tube for a grease gun. I knew it was going to thicker, but I had no idea that thick.

So how do you make sure the grease is though out the wench? It seems that thick, it hight not make it to all points. Do you run the wench for awhile, then reload???
