...The rest of the story is simply that I have a bad reputation for stripping fire apparatus in favor of the factory beds.
It's a touchy subject met with glee by the general PW public but frowned upon by the tight knit Fire community & the "Leave Old Retired Work Trucks Unusable Benevolent Society" :)
Don't get me wrong...I love history...maybe even more than the next guy but I see no need to waste an excellent low mileage truck on city parades when it has so much useful life left in it to give! :)
