Montana requires a title on our trucks, and it can get fun. If you don't have a title, but have a bill of sale, you can get a police officer to inspect the serial number. Then you submit this, and a notarized request for title, and a bond based on value, wait three months, and you get a bonded title. If, after three years, no one has claimed the truck, you can reapply for a clean title, pay your fees, wait three months, and voila, a cleanly titled truck. During the three years, you are not supposed to sell the truck. Matt
