I would wear a cap all the time, everywhere, if they would let me. I do take it off in at work, in churches, funeral parlors, and peoples homes. I will even eat in a restaruant with it off - if the restaurant help is not wearing caps.

I started as a child spending my days with my Grandpa as both Mom and Dad worked in town. Like most midwest farmers, chraftsmen, and factory workers from the 1930's through the 1950's and even up into the 1970's, he wore an eight point cap - My choice in this style is the blue denim variety. Occasionaly I will wear the same type of cap but in a hickory strip pattern - commonly referred to as an engineers cap. Lately, I have found a good supplyer for Kromer balloon caps. These are traditional among steam engine operators and popular colors are red or blue with white polka dots. Many people mistakenly think these are welders caps but there is a big difference.

When I am not around normal people (Power-Wagon or antique tractor people) and mingle in with the general public who don't understand, I tend to tone it down a little and wear more common ball caps....with the bill facing forward of course.
