PW Springs

I've got the axles off the truck, and besides being 68 years old there's not a pack that doesn't have at least one cracked spring. I know the front springs will need some extra leaves for the cummins. The rears are set up extra heavy duty for wrecker duty so I'd like to go closer to stock on those.

So is there a "best" spring setup for these trucks. I know they changed slightly over the years, but is there any reason to spec the spings from a year other than 1946 (the year mine was built)?

There's a local spring place in Norfolk I thought I might talk to about making new ones before I shop long distance, but I need to know what I want to ask for.
