Question of disc brakes ?

Just getting around to installing a set of Heli-Tool disc brakes that I purchased several years ago.
I am installing them on the front, however the calipers are hitting the interior casting.
Just wondering if there is a differance in the front and rear caliper brackets so that the fronts are longer than the rear ??? Or are the calipers identical from front to rear ? ? ?
Just wondering if a got a set for the rear, instead of the front.
